Frequently Asked Questions

What will the first session be like?

If you're new to therapy, you might be a little worried about your first session. I can understand this, and do my very best to make all of my clients feel comfortable and safe.

How does online therapy work?

From the comfort of your own space, using your computer (or phone) we will meet using a video conferencing platform.

Remote therapy allows me to be pretty flexible with your preferred appointment time. Often, I have same day availability.

How much does a session cost?

My fee for a therapy session is $175.

Sessions are 45 minutes long.

Family therapy/Couples counseling sessions at 60 minutes long and the fee is $250.

Why don't you accept insurance?

It is very important to me that my clients are in full control of both their privacy, and healthcare decisions. By not accepting insurance my clients get to choose how long they remain in therapy, and can be assured they have complete and total privacy with their private mental health information.

Will insurance reimburse me for therapy?

Upon request I can provide you with a superbill, that you can give to your insurance company in an effort to obtain out of network reimbursement for our sessions. This will include a procedure code for the therapy session, and it will require me to give you a formal diagnosis which will be put on file with your insurance company.

Can I use my health savings account to pay for therapy? (HSA)

YES! Mental health therapy is an HSA eligible expense. You may also use a credit card, debit card, or your checking account to pay for therapy via an online invoice.

Can we talk before I book a session?

Absolutely! I offer a complementary 15 minute introduction call so that we can chat and see if I am the right therapist for you.

Do you work with people who don't have eating disorders?

Yes. I work with people with all types of concerns, not just eating disorders. If you're wondering if I can help you with what you're struggling with, let's chat. I offer a free 15 minute introduction call. Click here to book.
